The Center for Medical Law has a wide range of research and teaching focuses, driven by its goal of advancing interdisciplinary research and teaching activities. Here, you will find all current projects.
Forschung
The research of Medical Law Göttingen covers the entire field of medical and health law, as well as the law of biomedicine, including medical ethics, legal policy objectives, and European and international contexts. Key areas of research include civil and criminal medical law, medical professional law, patient autonomy in the doctor-patient relationship, as well as the issue of so-called euthanasia, legal questions surrounding reproductive medicine, abortion, and gene and biotechnology, transplantation and transfusion law, the law of statutory and private health insurance, the law of medical research and ethics committees, all aspects of pharmaceutical law, including clinical trials, medical device law, as well as pharmacy and health advertising law.
