Today, well-thought-out marketing combines emotion with information. Target groups are reached through skilful storytelling – i.e. credible stories – and bound to brands or products. Whether for a company website, a blog or in print magazines, professional copywriters are paid to achieve this effect. But what means do effective texts use beyond simple emotional messages? Using specific tasks and texts they have written themselves, workshop participants learn which basic strategies help to convince clients and readers alike. The focus is on topics such as content marketing, headlines with a bang and the question of what intercultural competence has to do with psychology.
