Göttingen Workshop on Ibero-American Development

The Ibero-America Institute for Economic Research at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is pleased to invite you to the 2025 Göttingen Workshop on Ibero-American Development. Join us for a stimulating academic exchange on key development issues in Latin America and connect with researchers from around the world.
The workshop focuses on development issues related to Latin America, considering both macro- and microeconomic perspectives. We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Ana María Ibáñez Londoño, Vice President of the Inter-American Development Bank, as our keynote speaker.
We invite submissions for paper presentations from researchers interested in these themes. The call for papers is now open, and applications may be submitted until June 15, 2025. Notification of acceptance will be communicated by mid-July.
Whether you wish to present a paper or simply attend the event, we kindly ask you to complete the application form available.

Sur DialoguesMotivated by students’ demands for different perspectives during their studies, we offered a new seminar series, the Sur Dialogues, in October and November 2022. The seminar series gave voice to social scientists from the Global South, particularly from Latin America, to discuss contemporary issues of economic development.
