Marie Bachmann

Marie Bachmann is a pre-doctoral research fellow at the Chair of Development Economics/CeMIS, where she conducts research on the use of AI in higher education in India.
Marie holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Göttingen and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Leuphana University Lüneburg. During her exchange semester at the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics in Pune, she contributed in fieldwork for an economic sociology study on the socio-economic conditions of tribal communities in Goa.
Additionally, as part of a study trip on global health in South India, she visited Bengaluru and Chennai, where she participated in site visits to public health clinics, non-governmental organizations, and research institutions.
