The decentralised quality management at the faculty is embedded in the system accreditation processes at the University of Göttingen. System accreditation involves the systematic certification of degree programmes with the aim of ensuring quality and further developing the range of courses offered.
What have we achieved so far?
The quality rounds form the core of the decentralised quality management. Here we present individual measures that have already been successfully implemented and contribute to improving the quality of studies.

Surveys and Evaluations
In addition to the teaching evaluation and the graduation survey, we regularly survey our students to learn about their expectations, study content and motivation at the start of their studies, as well as their experiences with individual areas of their degree programmes, study conditions and (individual) challenges during the course of their studies.
Good Practice Teaching Examples
The Study Commission of the Faculty of Social Sciences regularly recognises outstanding courses. Under the motto "Good Practice Teaching Examples at the Faculty of Social Sciences", various types of courses are selected that received the highest ratings in the teaching evaluation.
Committees
The Study Commission and the Faculty Council play a central role in teaching, study and research. Students are represented on equal terms in the commission and actively participate. The Faculty Council sets priorities in research and resource allocation. All current dates, members and minutes are available online.
