MASTER'S THESES
We mainly supervise empirical (data) projects on selected issues. All master students are expected to present their research results in the Internal Research Seminar. (We only consider literature studies as an exception and only on topics that are directly commissioned by us and are relevant for our research.) If you are interested in working with us, please approach us directly. The topics for bachelor theses give you a good first overview of our areas of interest (plus of course our teaching and publications). Although we are generally open to supervise a wide range of empirical master thesis topics and often develop thesis topics in discussions with students, there is also a possibility to select a topic from the following list:
The effects of increasing the share of renewable energies in the electricity grids
(contact: Jan Schlüter)
The way out of dependence on natural gas
(contact: Jan Schlüter)
Effects of weather shocks on the uptake and intensity of adaptation practices/coping strategies among farmers
(contact: Friederike Lenel; in collaboration with the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research - PIK)
Can (perceived) tenure security moderate the impact of weather shocks on food security/adoption of adaptation practices/yields?
(contact: Friederike Lenel; in collaboration with the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research - PIK)
Perceived agency and the adoption of adaptation practices in the context of climate change.
